Information for Residents

Broadband - August 2020 update

The Hampshire Top-Up to the Gigabit Broadband Voucher Scheme:

Hampshire County Council has just agreed a £1million investment to help residents in some of the hardest-to-reach places in the region get access to gigabit-capable broadband.

It works by providing a top-up to the government’s Gigabit Broadband Voucher Scheme, meaning people can benefit from up to £3000 per property to go towards the cost of installing new gigabit-capable connections – double the value of the standard voucher. In many cases, this will cover the entire cost of installation, so when it is in place, all residents have to do is choose a package that suits them in terms of speeds and budget. To qualify for the scheme, residents must live in a rural area, be unable to get broadband speeds of 100Mbps or more and apply as a group of two or more premises. For further information visit: www.hampshiresuperfastbroadband.com/top-up    News Article     Gigabit Leaflet
