Clerk to Burley Parish Council

A vacancy for the position of Clerk to Burley Parish Council has arisen and the Councillors invite applications from suitably qualified individuals.

The Clerk's duties include recording & writing the minutes of the monthly Parish Council meeting; receiving & responding to correspondence on behalf of the Parish Council and attending to banking & financial matters. It is anticipated that the new Clerk will need to allocate about 10 hours per week for Council duties for which the current remuneration is £4,774 p.a. (plus reimbursement of expenses) in line with established Local Authority pay scales & reviewable from 1 April each year.

The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate good administrative skills; must be mobile, computer-literate and be prepared to be flexible with time when dealing with Council duties. The necessary equipment, support & training will be provided.
